Useful Nature Foraging Walk

Thu, 18 June 2020 @ 18:00 - 20:00

An excellent introduction into foraging, for all ages, by local environmental teacher, Ruaraidh Milne.

A very gentle walk covering not more than 3 miles around the Sanquhar community woodland in Forres. We will look at natural medicines, uses for different plants and trees, and of course some wild food foraging. Principles such as safety and sustainability will be covered thoroughly. The walk will be slow and gentle with lots of stopping to look, feel, taste and forage.

Ruaraidh Milne has been foraging in nature for over 30 years and now teaches bushcraft and environmental education for various charities and organisations around Moray and the Highlands as well as running his own events and training. He has a life long passion for nature and the outdoors and enjoys sharing it with folk of all ages.
