Explore the hidden histories, archaeology, and wild landscapes of Glenlivet
Join Tomintoul & Glenlivet Heritage Ranger Lydia Fisher for an afternoon walk from Allanreid along the River Livet into the barren but beautiful uplands of the Braes of Glenlivet. Along the way we’ll be exploring the archaeology, landscape, and cultural history of this wild and remote corner of the Glenlivet Estate. After a picnic on the moor, we’ll return to the car park along the same route.
The Glenlivet Estate abounds with oystercatchers, curlews, and lapwings in the spring and summer months – be sure to bring your binoculars if you have them.
