SUMMARY:Botanical Linocut Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Step into the world of Lino Printing and unleash your creativity in this hands-on workshop. This class is themed to complement the Midsummer Magic of St Mary’s walk in the evening\, where we will explore the tales of folklore and mythology surrounding plants. \nSuitable for beginners\, you will learn how to transfer images\, carve lino\, and print your very own multi-coloured masterpiece using jigsaw linocut techniques. Don’t worry if you’re not a skilled artist\, all you need is some ideas to fit your A5 piece of Lino (approx. 15 x 21cm) and the desire to create. \nOur small class size of 12 provides a focused learning environment\, so reserve your spot now at Inchberry Hall\, near Fochabers. Let your imagination run wild and discover the magic of Lino Prints! \nAll tools and materials will be provided on the day\, just bring yourself and some design ideas. \n(Please note this class is suitable for ages 11 and up due to the use of sharp tools). \nHayley Anderson is a visual artist from Lossiemouth and one of the artists-in-residence for the Moray Way Association. \nOver the last year\, the Moray Way Association has collaborated with local artists to reimagine “The Pilgrimages in Moray – A Guide to the County\,” a 1924 pocket guidebook featuring descriptions of walks across Moray. \nHayley conducted a residency at the Orton Estate in partnership with the Moray Way Association. This residency focused on a walk designed to replicate the pilgrimage to St Mary’s Well.
