DESCRIPTION:This spectacular 6 mile circular walk follows the River Findhorn upstream from Sluie to Logie Steadings exploring the eastern side of the Findhorn Gorges before crossing over to the Dava Way then via farm and forest tracks returns to the start. There are wonderful views not only of the River Findhorn but also across farmland to the Moray Firth.

DESCRIPTION:This delightful circular seven-mile walk around the environs of Forres and along a stretch of the River Findhorn will enable you to see Forres from a different viewpoint. It will also provide the opportunity to learn about the town’s historical personalities\, discover aspects of civil engineering\, both old and recent and view some of the military memorials that reflect part of the area’s history. \nEven those who live in Forres may be surprised to discover some of the paths and lanes followed on this walk.

There are steep drops to one side of the path in places. The walk has been popular and much enjoyed on the previous occasions it has been included in the Festival. It is in an area that is rarely visited by walkers. \nForres Footpaths Trust has been leading walks since the start of the Moray Walking and Outdoor Festival. They use funds raised to maintain and update their website and identify and publish new routes.
