DESCRIPTION:Join the Dorenell Rangers for an evening walk from Dorenell Wind Farm Visitor Centre into Blackwater Lodge. Making the most of the long summer evenings\, we will follow the waymarked trail through the Blackwater plantation and out onto the open moorland. Along the way\, we will take the time to look out for the wildlife of the area which includes Red Deer\, Black Grouse\, Short-eared Owls and Golden Eagles. We will also talk about the cultural history of the area as we pass historical sites such as Shenval\, Kings Haugh and of course Blackwater Lodge itself. After a picnic dinner near Blackwater Lodge\, we will head back to the Visitor Centre along the same route.
