Nature Writing Woodland Workshop

Sat, 19 June 2021 @ 09:00 - 12:00

A walk in the woods is a great way to inspire your nature writing. This circular walk involves a gentle stroll and writing workshop in beautiful Roseisle Forest, Burghead.

Rebecca Gibson is a wildlife writer and photographer, based in Burghead. She grew up in Hertfordshire and moved to Moray in February 2020, soon falling in love with the combination of coastal and woodland habitats. Rebecca’s work has been featured in publications including BBC Wildlife and Oceanographic magazines and her greatest passion is British birds. All of her creative work is inspired by nature and she loves wandering through the woods and along the shore, making notes and taking photos. Join her on this morning nature writing woodland workshop.

Please arrive at the start point at 8:45am so any parking issues can be sorted out before the event begins at 9am.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome but should not distract participants from the writing workshop or interfere with any wildlife.

There is no difficult terrain on the route and the main paths are either gravel or flat earth/sand. The forest can be hilly so there may be some short inclines, but as there are so many different trails to choose from the route can be adjusted slightly if this is an issue.

Bring along a notebook or voice recorder to make notes during the walk.

Rebecca would like to take photos during the event to write about the workshop on her blog. If you do not want to be photographed, please let Rebecca know.
