Feathers of Findhorn
Mon, 15 June 2020 @ 19:00 - 20:45
An evening walk to watch and listen to the birdlife of Findhorn dunes.
Led by A9Birds in association with the Findhorn Dunes Trust, this event is for birdwatchers of all abilities to watch and listen for the birds that spend the summer in and around the Findhorn dunes, both on land and over the sea. The approximately 2-mile round-trip walk will be along the beach and nearby pathways between the mouth of Findhorn Bay and then eastwards through the dunes, perfectly timed for when birds will be most active during the evening especially if it’s been a warm day!
Part of the proceeds will go to supporting the work of the Findhorn Dunes Trust
Bring binoculars and spotting scopes (the event leader will have a scope that the group can all use), drinks/snacks, and appropriate walking clothing (mostly on sand and earth/stony track, occasionally with puddles if recent rains have occurred). Some birds should be close enough to photograph with suitable camera equipment.
